May 14 Before I forget, here is how it took me 6 tests to get the UK driving licence. Test No. 1 Date: 05/09/2008 Serious Faluts: 0 Dangerous Faltes: 2 Test No. 21. Judgement- tried to drive on to the roundabout while there is another girl on it - I thought she was turning left as she is on the left hand lane;2. Position - postition too much to the left, stopped by the examiner before hit the curb;3. Junctions - When I was truning to the right, tried to position on the oncoming lance - I thought it was on a double lanne road while it was single. Date: 08/11/2008 Serious Faluts: 2 1. Move off - I moved off when there was another car overtaking me - It was raining heavily and I lost patience after waiting for a gap for minutes. Test No. 32. Judgement - I tried to pull off while there is another car coming on a very narrow road with cars parking on my side. - The examiner broke the car before I did. Date: 18/12/2008 Test Centre: Guildford Test No. 41. User of speed - I kept at 30 miles/hour on a 40 miles/hour road - I didn't see the sign for the spleed limit and there were street lights along the road so I assumed it as 30 miles / hour. Date: 12/03/2009 Test Centre: Chertsey Test No. 5Move off - I moved off when someone overtook me. - I saw that guy behind me but I assumed that he would follow me as we are on a very narrow road he couldn't overtake me unless drive on the oncoming cars' lane. Date: 29/04/2009 Test Centre: Chertsey 1.Speed - The examiner said that I drived too fast according to the road conditions.2.Junction - I turned to the right when there was someone overtaking the queue waiting for the green lights and took my lane so I have to stop near the junctions. The examiner said I should not turn untill I am sure that my exit is clear. Test No. 6 Date: 14/05/2009 September 15 挂了路考以三个危险失误而告败 - 英国路考的失误分三级：小失误，严重失误，危险失误 - 可以在犯16个小失误的范围内通过考试，但只要犯一个严重或者危险失误就会Fail。极少数人是一次通过路考的，身边很多同事都是考4、5次后才Pass。有比较夸张的学车和考试花去两万多磅还一样照挂不误。
原打算的法南自驾游不得不Withdraw了。 无意中今天翻看了在西西里时的旧照片，突然觉得伦敦这每天阴沉沉的天气好压抑呀，真想赶快冲到意大利透透气 - 快四个月没离开伦敦了。 说到挂，最近挂了/正在挂的还有莱曼兄弟 - 5000伦敦员工丢了饭碗，伤痛欲绝；美林 - 如果不是被BOA收购也难免破产；AIG - 在垂死寻求$10bn-$20bn的注资；A'litalia - 遭遇了最后一根稻草；SL - 9万顾客有票不能飞，叫天天不应叫地地不灵。CEO含泪宣布破产后，公司网站只有一页了：首页，贴出公告声明被几个清算师处理中，此时在曼联对利物浦的球赛上还可以看到SL的赞助标志 - 不由让人发出雕栏玉砌应犹在，只是朱颜改的哀叹。下一个被挂的会是谁？ 有人三年前简历投出后几乎每天都会有面试，一天甚至会有三个，今年想跳槽一周都收不到一个电话，打来的还往往是猎头公司邀请注册登记信息，友情提示：If you have a job, you would hold it with both of your hands. 资本主义走到尽头了吗? 有人发出如此悲观的疑问。 April 27 车轱辘被盗18:35把自行车停在了火车站入口处的自行车停车栏里，不到20分钟返回时被现场情况小震了一下：自行车的后轱辘连带车轴被偷走了。光天化日之下，在鼎鼎有名的Surrey富人区一人来人往的火车站前，价值不到15磅的车轱辘竟然被窃了！看着残留下的车架和前轱辘，真是苦笑不得。本要一走了之，但想到小偷可能会晚些时候再来橇锁把残余偷回去组装成车 - 不能再便宜了他/她! - 于是拖到Halford修理。近两天要迎着朝阳徒步30分钟去公司了，权当是破财免灾吧。 April 05 明天去观看奥运火炬接力深深领教了西方媒体在对中国进行报道时的不公正，不全面，不客观。这也难怪，因为他们的媒体是盈利性的，无论真假只要能引起受众兴趣就敢厚着脸皮捏造、扭曲。 在采访中，他们的主持人会有意将实地记者\参与者向丑化中国的方向引导。今天早上收视率很高的Breakfast支持人采访参与火炬接力的英国运动员，问他在答应这件事的时候有没有考虑到抵制奥运的活动。回答说：“开始是有，但和朋友交流后觉得奥运会是280多个国家的体育盛事，不应该把它和政治话题挂钩。我非常荣幸能够参与进来，这是为了北京也是为了全世界爱好奥林匹克精神的人。”主持人又无耻地问道：“法国总统近日声明会拒绝参加开幕式，除非中国政府开启和达赖的谈话，并释放示威者。你对这件事怎么看？”回答说：“作为法国总统他可以与通过一些途径以经济或外交的方式影响中国，但染指奥运是在玩儿卑鄙的政治游戏。” 明天一起去给北京奥运助威，让英国人亲眼看看我中华的主旋律。 March 30 乔迁大吉搬到新家已经差不多一周时间了，生活质量一下子从温饱跃进到了小康。房子设计很舒适，勤快的房东把屋子收拾的整齐又干净。房东是个比较低调，很内秀很热心的威尔士人。很多时间他去女朋友哪里，整个房子就只有我一个人了。今天照了几张照片分享一下：
September 08 回门庆典照片发布July 31 娶媳妇喽！今天去红桥区民政局领了结婚证，除了大妈们比较爱发脾气外一切都很顺利，前后不到1小时就全部搞定了。从法律意义上讲我老人家已经是有妇之夫，以后再填什么登记表格之类的，婚姻状况一览就要变成已婚了 哈哈 从今天开始至8月27日，我的手机号是：+86 15831138588 July 30 到家了！7月20 考完最后一门试，完成米兰理工全部考试，超过ASP的要求；

July 04 UK签证到手 虚惊一场签证到手：14号寄走了材料给UK罗马使馆，今天才刚刚收到。前后用了20天，是正常所需时间的200%。或许是因为赶上高峰，也或许是因为前几天的汽车炸弹…… Anyway 悬着的心终于放下来了。
虚惊一场：差一点就在这个小河沟里翻了船，如果没有了护照和居留许可，为了不改变原定的婚礼方案，1600欧的机票要废掉重新买2000多欧的；为了申请新的护照和居留要等上至少3个月甚至半年的时间，在这期间只能蜷缩于意大利这个弹丸之地；起薪27K英镑的满意工作机会将近乎泡汤……
Happy Accident：也正因为签证下来的晚了（有效期6月28日-12月28日），我们可以在London过圣诞了

April 07 Busy SpringThough there are several official holidays in spring, it couldn't be busier. Serveral deadlines are there to meet.
1) Courses and Exams;
2) Final Thesis;
3) ASP Project and Courses;
4) CIREN Stuff;
5) Job and Career;
6) Internship;
...
During last ASP seminar, Michele told me that he slept no more than 4 hours each day in the University of Chicago, where there is a motto: "Take it easy!" He took six courses in a single semester, which was double of the normal, and get six "A"s.
Eugenio said that if you couldn't get a final mark of 110/110 and to be the top 2/100 student, you will never have the chance to work in the best companies as that is the bottom line for them to recruit.
"Go Big or Go Home!" is printed on the back of an ASPer's shirt.
As the Chinese saying: "A day is defined in the morning, A year the spring." There is no reason to hang around.
